My inspiration: Arctic Monkeys -Leave before the lights come on

This video by the Arctic Monkeys 'Leave before the lights come on' was my inspiration for the music video i produced as it was from a same genre of Rancid but most of all because it took its own interpretation of the song and displayed it through a reenactment of a persons experience.I thought that was an original and good way to represent the the meaning of the video in this type of format as it keeps your audience gripped on the songs lyrics to think if they agree with the interpretation

My inspiration: Arctic Monkeys -When the sun goes down

This video by the Arctic Monkeys 'When the sun goes down' was my inspiration for the music video i produced as it was from a same genre of Rancid but most of all because it took its own interpretation of the song and displayed it through a reenactment of a persons experience. As the song was about some ones life like 'bob' by Rancid it was an interesting way of displaying a music video as a short film and challenge the conventions of a normal music video which i thought was appropriate for Rancid as their attitude towards the music industry is to always challenge conventions and become orinla hence their pop punk genre.

Green Screen test Analysis

Ipod Lip Sync

For my first idea for the music video i had to film the lips of my colluge in the group i was working in and mime the lyrics of a NOFX cover of the song 'Bob'. I did this by putting the camera on a tripod to ensure that the camera was steady at all times to make the video look professional and keep to the conventions of a music video. I played the music in the background of the video so the person miming can keep in rhyme with the lead singer in the original track which is important if this illusion was going to work. After this piece of video footage was shot our idea was to put it on an hand held iPod to represents everyone's mouth in the video and pass it between the group.
